So you’re looking for body inclusive nutrition therapy, support with eating disorder recovery, intuitive eating coaching or body image healing?

And you want to start living your fullest life, where your body is nourished and your mind is free?

this space has been created for you.

Nutrition Counselling

I offer individual nutrition counselling sessions which provide a non-judgemental space to explore, discuss, learn, unlearn, cry, shout - whatever you need along the journey to developing a peaceful relationship with food and your body.

A space where you matter. Where you are welcome as you are.

    • Recognize, honour, and trust your body’s signals of hunger and fullness, so that you feel nourished and cared for

    • Give up dieting for good, so that you can fully engage in all the moments of your life—from the ordinary to the extraordinary

    • Stop the restrict-binge cycle and find peace once and for all

    • Trust yourself with all foods—even those that were once “off-limits”—and stop feeling out of control

    • Navigate emotional eating and learn new coping skills

    • Accept your body—at any size—and learn how to fight internalised fatphobia and weight bias

    • Recognise diet culture and evaluate the plethora of “health” information bombarding you daily

    • Choose what to eat from a place of self-care and abundance, not self-control and deprivation

    • Start engaging in physical activity for the joy of movement, not as self-punishment for your eating

  • First 1-2 sessions:

    • Get to know each other – some questions from me, some from you

    • Unpack the what, when, why, how food became complicated

    • Find out what you most want to get out of working together

    • Develop a ‘roadmap’ to understand how we might get there

    Subsequent sessions:

    • Explore the ‘what now’ regarding your relationship with food

    • A mix of talking things through and practical activities

    • Set small goals and experiments – reflect, re-evaluate and go from there

    • I’ll offer tools and resources to help you implement our work between sessions

Would We Work Well Together?

Would We Work Well Together?

Would we work well together?

Not all humans fit well together, and that’s okay. Let me help you decide if we’ll be a dream team…

Probably, if you:

  • Are ready to reclaim your life from diet culture or your eating disorder

  • Value a whole-person approach - digging into the what, when, why, how, what now

  • Are up for doing some small tasks between sessions

  • Want to work with an experienced dietitian who also ‘gets’ where you’re at

  • Are willing to commit to your healing journey even if it takes time

  • Value the benefits & accessibility of online sessions

Possibly not, if you:

  • Don’t yet recognize how diet culture or your eating disorder is harming you

  • Prefer to keep things separate and only talk about food

  • Aren’t keen to prioritise our work outside of sessions

  • Want a dietitian to simply tell you what to do / provide a meal plan

  • Are looking for a “quick fix”

  • Want to access in person sessions

  • <autoplay speed=4></autoplay>"And I said to my body softly, ‘I want to be your friend.’ It took a long breath and replied, ‘I have been waiting my whole life for this'."

  • “When we dumb food down and reduce it to the sum of its nutritional components, we miss out on the connections between food and culture and the layers of nourishment food and eating offers.”

  • “When you are recovered, food and weight take a proper perspective in your life and what you weigh is not more important than who you are. When recovered, you will not compromise your health or betray your soul to look a certain way, wear a certain size or reach a certain number on a scale. When you are recovered, you do not use eating disorder behaviours to deal with, distract from, or cope with other problems.”

  • “The moment you decide you want freedom more than your disorder, recovery becomes possible.”

  • “Rather than forgetting, they wanted to remember. Rather than being gone, the experience shaped their self-understanding. Rather than returning to some premorbid state defined as recovery, these women honoured their experience as a journey of self-transformation that provided them with opportunity for growth and rich connection to their values.”

Individual Nutrition Counselling FAQ

  • I am based in Melbourne, Australia. However, all sessions are provided via Telehealth (video calls) using a secure health professionals platform called Coviu. So it doesn’t matter where you are located – I work with individuals anywhere in Australia and right around the globe!

  • Yes! Research has shown that counselling/therapy services delivered online are comparable to in person services. In fact, there are added advantages such as being able to access clinicians outside your geographical location, saves you time and money on travel to/from appointments and you can access it from the comfort of your own home, office or even a (parked!) car. Pets and pj’s are most welcome.

  • The number of sessions we have together will be dependent on various factors like where your relationship with food currently stands, what your goals are, your readiness to make change and what support systems you have in place. This is something we can discuss in our first 1-2 sessions.

  • I don’t believe in the need to “tick a box” to be worthy of treatment – your distress around food and your body is valid and deserves support even if you do not meet diagnostic criteria for an Eating Disorder (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, OSFED, ARFID).

So if you are thinking you must be “fine” because this is not you, I see you.

I work with individuals with varying degrees of disordered eating, chronic dieting and body image concerns, and am committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming practice for humans of all shapes, sizes, gender identities, sexual orientations, ethnicities and religious affiliations.

  • It is realllllly common to feel a bit stuck in the middle.

On the one hand… you want to let go of dieting and all those food rules, so you can have a peaceful relationship with food.

And on the other hand… there is still a pretty big part of you that wants to change your body, so letting those rules go feels scary.

This doesn’t mean that we can’t work together. My role is to hold space for this “stuck” feeling and to help you explore it, unpack it, and empower you to move forward in a way that is truly aligned with your values.

  • Medicare rebates are available for individuals with a chronic health condition (up to 5 visits) or eating disorder (20 visits). To receive rebates, you must be referred by your GP via a Team Care Arrangement or Eating Disorder Treatment Plan. Speak with your GP to determine if you are eligible. You can claim rebates online via the Medicare website following our session. Please note that I do not bulk bill and you will incur out of pocket fees.

Rebates may also be available through your private health fund and this will depend on your level of cover.

  • You do not need a referral to work with me, unless you plan to claim a rebate.

  • Due to the nature of virtual consultations, payment is required upfront at the time of booking.

Payment for subsequent sessions will be automatically charged during the session, leaving us more time to focus on what’s important!

Cancellations or reschedules made with 24-48 hours’ notice will incur a late notice fee of 50% of the session fee. Changes made with 0-24 hours notice will incur the full session fee. Non-attendance without notice will also incur the full session fee.

This is payable before further appointments can be made and will not be covered by your private health fund or Medicare.

  • During business hours I am usually in session with clients or conducting meal support, and therefore the quickest way to get in touch is to send me an email here and I will get back to you within 2 business days.
